before the trip!

This place is 林村. The place where they used to throw the oranges for their marriage thing... remember? But all the oranges are removed and these wooden structures are there to support the tree.... using wood to support the wood... muuhahahahha
next picture shows the entrance of the place...
And more pictures of the OSean Park!! the arial view taken during the gallery viewing ride...

And finally, this is the Shopping mall at 青衣 that my colleague STRONGLY recommends us to go since we are staying at the place.. but, dunno why i heard something like at Tong Chung...
AND Presenting the Maritime Square once again, as mentioned in the comments!!

Something to add on and for your considerations FYCs: the Octopus card!!
My bro told me don buy the tourist version. It seems to be not really worth it after all than compared to the normal kind that Hong Kong people use. My bro told me the normal octopus card is more useful and easily top up anywhere especiall at their K (7-11 equivalent) shops. AND!! its cheaper to travel to the airport in this pay-as-you-use card... But are we coached to the airport from the hotel?
My colleague also keep telling me go buy this 青衣 mtr card, its the CHEAPEST!! Can someone check it out? Issit really cheaper to buy paying MRT octopus or the tourist-y version? This last picture is that 青衣mtr card...

HEY! anyone can generate a list of things we may need?
[1] Windbreakers...
[2] toiletries
[3] anything of ur wish...

Enchanting Escape Hikes - Dragon's Back / Tai Tam Country Park

Hi guys, one activity that is very different that you might want to consider:
This is a short trek on the green side - approx 3-4 hours. Might catch sunrise if we are hardworking, but dunoe if its feasible or not(might be too dark and dangerous to walk before dawn break)

The link:
http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/touring/adventures/ta_adve_141031.jhtml

Extract:
Hong Kong is remarkable because you can step from busy urban areas into peaceful countryside in minutes. That's particularly true for the Dragon's Back trail which Time magazine declared as the Best Urban Hike in Asia (22 Nov 2004 Asia issue). The trail is "the city's finest and most surprising ramble," the Time article says. "The glory of it all is that you're so close to the city, but could hardly feel farther away"

The Dragon's Back in Shek O Country Park is a ridge with small peaks along the length of the D'Aguilar Peninsula on the southeast corner of Hong Kong Island. From the ridge there are spectacular views eastwards to Clear Water Bay Peninsula and islands in the eastern sea approaches to Hong Kong. To the west there are views of Stanley Peninsula and the South China Sea. At the foot of the Dragon's Back is the popular village Shek O with its sandy beaches and alfresco restaurants.

The walk also goes through Tai Tam Country Park and passes through a variety of natural habitats: upland scrub coloured with wild azaleas and rose myrtle, bamboo groves and forests. Tai Tam park contains three of Hong Kong Island's largest reservoirs and is home to a number of species of terrapins.

Starting from Wong Nei Chung Gap, this walk explores the beautiful Tai Tam Country Park with its many streams, reservoirs, hills and valleys. It then crosses into Shek O Country Park following the coast of Tai Tam Bay with views of Po Toi and Beaufort islands to the south. Climbing to the top of the Dragon's Back, trekkers will enjoy the spectacular views. Along the coastline below are Shek O village and Big Wave Bay.

Sunrise

I would just like to have good food and watch a splendid sunrise. Wondering how winter sunshine will be like.

Actually I'm game for hikes or natural scenic areas. U figure they have paragliding?
